This postcard purports to give a view of Los Angeles from 1873, but it was not produced in 1873. It has a divided back of which the left panel was supposed to be used for a return address only, limiting the date range of this card to 1906 (when such cards started to be printed) to the publisher's end of operatations in 1915. Street names are printed on the roads shown on the illustration, starting with Ninth Street in the foreground, Main Street on the right, and Hill on the left. The San Gabriel Mountains are prominent in the background. There is staining along the right and left margins of the card.
