Marble columns flank a walkway strewn with oriental rugs, with easy chairs along the walls and at each column. Elevators are on the right, a reception desk onthe left, and there are a coffered ceiling and a mezzanine. Designed by John P. Parkinson, the hotel opened in 1906, and its Palm Court ballroom was designated a City of Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument (HCM#80) in 1971. The publisher's number on the back is 51024.
