A fireplace is in the wall on the left, near a rocking chair and an easy chair facing a table with a plant on it. Other chairs and plants, rugs, and light fixtures, with wooden beams in the ceiling and a doorway, complete the picture. The hotel was designed and built between 1906 and 1907, by architects Elmer Grey and Myron Hunt at Ingraham and Orange Streets. A statement on the divided back declares that the card was made in Germany, limiting its dates to 1907 to around 1914, when Germany was no longer used as a printing site.
