Here "living room" does not mean a common room but an individual bedroom like a dormitory room. The picture shows two straight chairs on either side of a desk next to a door, with a towel rack and wardrobe. According to a statement on the back of this card, it was "published exclusively for Young Men's Christian Association, Los Angeles." There is a number upside down in the stampbox: 2848. The statement that the card was made in Germany indicates that it was produced by around 1914, and the divided back shows production after March 1907.
