This view of the park looks across a branch of the lake toward the Hotel Leighton (1904). Palms and other trees shield the park from the city streets. In 1942 the name of the park was changed to MacArthur Park. The publisher's number on the divided back is A 80. The slogan on the back, "On the Road Of A Thousand Wonders" suggests that this card was part of a promotion for the Coast Line-Shasta Route of the Southern Pacific.
