The Pike at night, Long Beach, California
The VanOrnum Colorprint Co., Los Angeles, California
The sign for the Majestic Skating Rink is lit up, along with the Bathhouse and other attractions. People are on the boardwalk in the foreground. The Pike was Long Beach's amusement zone on the beach. The contributor only operated from 1908 to 1921. On the back is the slogan, "On the Road of a Thousand Wonders," which may mean that this place or this card was part of a promotion for the Coast Line-Shasta Route of the Southern Pacific from Los Angeles through San Francisco, to Portland.
