Bosley, O.A.
This ornate lobby with its chandeliers, marble columns and tile floors is made more homey by the addition of mahogany chairs and oriental rugs. On the left and right are desks for reception or sales. Designed by architects John C. Austin and Frederick C. Brown, the hotel was originally the Bixby Hotel but was renamed in 1906 and opened in 1908. It was closed after the stock-market crash, and it was demolished after the 1933 Long Beach earthquake.
