Although no publisher is credited, a number on the back of the card at the bottom of the dividing line, is typical of Curt Teich. The number is A-42316, which, according to the guide maintained by the Curt Teich Postcard Archives, refers to postcards made in 1913. The publisher's description on the back reads: "El Centro, county seat of Imperial County: in 1906 a barley field, in 1913 a population of 6,000. Has a $75,000.00 high school, two grammar schools, good churches, paved streets, electric light and power, ga, water, sewer, ice-plant, all modern conveniences."
