The publisher operated from 1901-1915. His number on the divided back of this card is 7683. A phrase next to it states that the card was made in Germany. A line at the bottom of the message area on the back declares that this area was "On the line of the Southern Pacific Railway," perhaps as a part of a promotional campaign for the railroad company. This portion of railroad was part of what became a transcontinental route that was known as the Sunset Limited.
