In reply to your favor of the 21st inst., we can use the young lady as chambermaid about the Jan. 1st at $ 20.00 per month. She will have to pay her fare, but there is no reason for her not having a permanent position the year round.

Your letter is received. We will give you a position of $25.00 per month and board. In order to see what kind of a worker you are, you will first have charge of the horse cart that is used to do most of the hauling in and around the hotel, you to be advanced as you prove your worthiness. Advise me when you are coming, so we can arrange.
