Dear Sir: - Mr W. B. Huestis' I sent you a telegram offering $ 60.00 per month to come out and take charge of our baking. If after we had tested you and you proved capable to assume control of the pastry work as well, we would increase our wages, as we should much prefer to have one man manage both positions.

The present pastry cook, however, gives very good satisfaction, except that we think he might be a little more economical in the use of materials, perhaps.

Dear Sir: - Your favor of Sept. 10th, to our agent at Utica, N.Y., referring to Phil. Bernius and wife, has come to my notice.

You give these parties such a strong recommendation that I write to make further inquiries. What salary did you pay them, and can they undertake the pastry as well as the baking, how many guests can they handle, and what assistance would they need? Where can I reach Mr Bernius by mail?

Are you thinking of coming to California this Winter?
