Dear Sir:- We pay for milk delivered at the hotel, 50 cts per can of three gallons. It would cost to deliver milk from the depot to the hotel by the transfer company probably one cent per gallon. Have you the figures at hand which you can pick up to see whether it would not pay you to enter into a contract to supply us with milk the year round? We will begin using more about the first of January, and it will reach the maximum amount during the months of Feb. and Mch, particularly Mch, often using then 150 gallons per day. During the summer the consumption is from 45 to 60 gallons.
It may be the express company would make a special rate, in order to start the business. Would it pay you to try it, as against making butter? If we bought the milk we could then arrange with you for butter the year round, based on the average price you get for your butter. I believe it would be better for you and for us if there was an established price to work to from both sides

Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock
