I notice that in some cases the ice tastes of oil. This is evidence that Barnsdale is using condensed water from steam that has been worked by the engine, and the taste comes from the ice around the spot frozen last. See Barnsdale and tell him not to do it. Have your man carefully cut out two or three pounds around the spot last frozen. It will condemn our water.
