A. Ballett, Esq.,

San Francisco, Calif.,
Dear Sir:-
Your favor of the 25th inst., is received, and I thank you for writing me. However, I have concluded to give one of our employees, who has been under our present Chef, a trial, to determine whether he can conduct the department properly, as I like to advance old employees as much as possible.
Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock Jr.
