Rancheria Motor Hotel, Santa Barbara, California

This motel or "motor hotel" was on the Coast Highway in Montecito, "just one-half mile south of Santa Barbara," according to the back of this double-wide postcard. This linen card was made to fold with the picture on the inside and the advertising message, address area and message area on the outside. The illustration shows an office on the left and individual cottages among trees, flowers and shrubs, with driveways to each. The motel was part of an area of motels, hotels, restaurants and gasoline stations known as "Coast Village."
