The float on which vaudeville and radio stars ventriloquist Edgar Bergen and his dummy Charlie McCarthy ride has the words "Grand Marshals" written in flowers on the front. As the photograph for this Real Photo Post Card was taken, the float is passing the reviewing stand, hung with banners, on the right. Bergen and McCarthy are dressed all in white except for black ties and handkerchiefs and are facing one another in their typical pose. The card has a white margin, here stained on the right, and is untraveled, with a divided back.
