This Real Photo Post Card captures a view of a float entered by radio evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson, representing the Angelus Temple in Echo Park where she preached as a boat with oars. A woman dressed in white stands at the front of the float, which is passing a Salvation Army storefront, with a marquee behind it advertising the Liberty Players in a "spoken drama." McPherson entered floats, including this one, for the years 1924 through 1926 after the first in 1923. In 1925 she hired Isabella Coleman, a well known float builder. The photographic papers indicated by the stampbox were only made during the years 1922-1926.
