The name of the mountain is mispelled in the title and on the back of this dramatically posed scene of a man in robes pointing to a huge cross (Serra Cross, 1909) at the summit of Mount Rubidoux. On the divided back is the Teich number R-35704 that was used to derive the date. Also on the back is the logo of the San Pedro, Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad (1901-1916), source of the "on the Salt Lake Route" slogan following the title here. The description on the back reads: "This Cross, on Rubidaux[sic] Mountain at Riverside, California, commemorates the blessing of the Valley, in the 18th century by Father Juniperro[sic] Serra, founder of the California Missions. Riverside is on the line of the Salt Lake Route."
