This card is deeply sepia in tone, rendering the dark mountain in the foreground almost without detail. On the plain between it and the far mountains may lie the community of Lake Elsinore, with the lake itself on the right. This and the shape of the lake suggests an orientation of southeast to northwest from left to right, with Santa Ana Mountains on both sides. According to the divided back, this card was "Published exclusively for C. S. Wright, Elsinor[sic]." Also on the back is the publisher's logo, but their sequential number is in the bottom right corner here: 2769. The company operated from 1904-1918, giving this card a range of 1907-1918.
