Referred to as "Aimee's Castle," pictured here is Aimee Semple McPherson's mansion on Lake Elsinore. McPherson was a celebrity evangelist in the early 1900s who is considered a pioneer in the use of modern media such as radio to communicate her message. A realty company in Elsinore offered her a grant of land on the hills above Lake Elsinore's northeastern shore in 1928 as part of a marketing strategy to attract the rich and famous to the area. She accepted and commisioned the architect Edwin Bickman to build a Moorish Revival-style castle with art-deco influences. According to the title, at the time the postcard was created the site belonged to Kaj Seidler. The card appears to have been repurposed from an earlier Real Photo Post Card by Bob Plucker that was sold while McPherson still lived there, prior to sale of the mansion in 1939.
