View from Los Jardines de Montezuma (Montezuma Gardens) during the Panama-California Exposition of 1915. The pergola in the garden is the white building toward the left, and the California Tower is prominent in the background on the right. The Exposition was held in San Diego's Balboa Park to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal. The Montezuma Gardens were redesigned as the Alcazar Garden during the California Pacific Exposition of 1935, and that name continues to be used in 2013.
