Campbell, Harlan Sheldon
Corporal Campbell is "engaged in Secret work" on his way to Officer Training School. He reports on Sergeant Al Thomas, sent to "Plum" (Army slang for a secret foreign destination); Privates Bob Wade and H. Billy Miller; and Private Joe Vernacchia (San Diego State College, 1938). After the war ("rotten and silly" but necessary to fight), he wants to return and finish college.
