Post, Lauren C., Editor
This "Cover Girl Edition" features June Stein, chosen by San Diego State College alumnus and actor Gregory Peck as the "prettiest girl" of thirty-two. In his letter, Peck states that "it would have been much more fun to have done the selecting in the third dimension." The remainder of the "coeds" whose photos were sent are provided as a list. Sergeant Robert Newsom's story is relayed following his visit to the San Diego State campus. Newsom had been taken prisoner on Corregidor, and held in Cabanatuan, Davao, and finally, Japan.
