Lieutenant and Mrs. Robert C. Cozens are pictured on the front page next to the statue of Montezuma on the San Diego State College campus. This is the first edition printed soon after the invasion of Europe began. Post acknowledges the representation of the College in the invasion, and pays tribute to those on the front lines. The last page is the same as page 174 of the 1944 Del Sudoeste (The San Diego State yearbook), honoring members of the armed forces.
