Post, Lauren C., Editor
The photograph on page one is of the archway in Hepner Hall. A "Service flag" is shown displayed above the arch, and shows the numbers of men and women killed in action and the total number in the armed forces. In addition to his standard introduction letter on the first page, Post includes a letter to high school seniors visiting the campus. In this edition, the high school each contributor attended is included in parentheses. A photograph of an airplane named "Monty," is inside, a trainer remaining in the United States while its pilot, Colin Reilly, goes overseas. "Monty" refers to a San Diego State College icon named "Montezuma" or "The Aztec," placed in the Main Quad.
