Dear Dr. Post:

I read the article about your News Letter for boys in the Service and I think it such a thoughtful, fine thing for you to do. I know all who get it will appreciate it so.

My son, Richard L. Bate, who went out to Camp Malakole, T.H. [Territory of Hawaii] with the 251st from here nineteen months ago, was in town for a few hours last Saturday en route to Anti Aircraft Artillery Officer's Candidate School at Camp Davis, North Carolina. He will be there for approximately three months and I am sure that he would be very pleased to receive your news bulletin and keep in touch.

Corp[oral]. Alfred Scott, who was with him in Hawaii is still there. His address is H[ead]q[uarters]. Batt[alion]. 1st B[attalio]n, 251st C.A[California](A[nti-].A[ircraft]) Camp Malakole, T.H. [Territory of Hawaii]

I know the boys out in Hawaii looked forward to the issues of the college paper, and that they share their new[sic] of home.

Sincerely Yours
Mabel Rule Bate.
