"Hanging Discus" inside Malcolm A. Love Library

"Hanging Discus" by George Baker (1973) is on display in the stairwell of Malcolm A. Love Library. It is a kinetic and sound sculpture made of polished metal. Love Library opened in March, 1971 and is named after Malcolm A. Love, university President from 1952-1972. The modern style library was designed by Hal Sadler of Tucker, Sadler & Bennett in 1960. This and NEG-09-237 have only minute differences between them.
