Depicts the Botanical Building and the Lagunita in front that runs into the Laguna de las Flores (also lagoon, Laguna de Espejo, or Reflecting Pool), later known as the Lily Pond. In the background is the Varied Industries and Food Products Building that became the Foreign and Domestic Industries Building in 1916, later the Varied Industries and Food Products Building, the Food and Beverage Building, and the County Fair Building. These structures were built for the Panama Pacific Exposition of 1915 that was held in San Diego's Balboa Parkto to celebrate the completion of the Panama Canal.
