This fantasy landscape was built in 1910 by the L. A. Thompson Company for roller coaster trains, at the west end of Ocean Front Walk on the north end of the Abbot Kinney Pier. The visible area would have been at the east end of the ride, since the west end was over the ocean. It was removed in 1919. The publisher's number 9501 is on the divided back, along with the railroad-promotion mottoes "On the Road of a Thousand Wonders" and "On the Line Los Angeles Pacific."
