This dance pavilion on the Abbot Kinney Pier was the first of two halls, built in 1906. It was a heater in this building that exploded and started the fire that destroyed the Pier on December 20, 1920. It was between the Venice Auditorium and the pavilion. The rebuilt dance hall bore some resemblance to this one and was finished in 1921. The publisher's number F 208 is on the divided back along with the phrase "Made in Germany."
