The dam shown here was built in 1910, with the bridge over it added in 1924. Behind it the lake stretches nearly to the horizon in this Real Photo Post Card. On another similar card photographer creator Wright M. Pierce styles himself "The Bear Valley Photographer." The photographic paper used to develop this card was produced until 1930.
