This sepia-tone card shows a ramada on the left, with trees framing a view of the San Bernardino Mountains to the north. In the valley in the middle distance are orange groves in Redlands. Smiley Heights was named after the founding family who lived there. The publisher's number 249 is in the bottom right corner. There is a crack near that corner and a defect in coloring just to the right of center. The edges are worn, and there is a white spot near the upper left corner.
