The name of this oil magnate is mispelled on the card. The Fisher family home, shown here from a lawn, with its cupola and porches, was built on Highland Avenue just east of San Mateo. Called "Moorish" in style by a contemporary account, the mansion had a patio in the center with an "electric fountain." When he settled in Southern California, Fisher became involved in the Redlands Electric Light and Power Company as well as other nearby similar companies. The publisher's number 804 is in the lower left corner of this color image, with the publisher's name on the divided back. The publisher started operations in 1912.
