Santa Fe Limited at Needles, California, Indians selling beadwork in front of El Garces Hotel

This color card gives a view from a front balcony of the El Garces Hotel in Needles, showing a train stopped on the tracks in front of the hotel. On the other side of the tracks is the trainyard. The reverse of the card displays the contributor's "Phostint" trademark. Also on the divided back is a statement: "The town of Needles is but a few miles beyond the Colorado River in California. It is a division point on the Santa Fe [Railroad]. River boats ply between this town and the Gulf of California." The number 12286 is in the top front left corner of the white border.
