The hotel to the left of the "arrowhead" natural formation in the San Bernardino Mountains was also called the Arrowhead Hot Springs Hotel or Arrowhead Springs Hotel. The original hotel was called the Arrowhead Hot Springs Hotel, opened by 1908. The Arrowhead Springs Hotel and Spa opened in 1939 on a 1,016-acre site, surrounded on three sides by the San Bernardino National Forest. It was designed by Paul Williams. The Arrowhead geological monument is a California Historical Landmark (977), a formation of light quartz. The contributor started operations in 1912.
