Casa del Desierto was a Harvey House hotel and restaurant that eventually became the Barstow Harvey House and Rail Depot Chamber of Commerce and museum. This image is of both the Harvey House and the railroad depot, with the depot on the far right. The railroad tracks are in the foreground, a bridge and butte behind the depot, with The Michel mountain range in the background. Teich's number R-18473 at the bottom of the dividing line on the back was used to derive the date. Neither the publisher's nor the contributor's logos appear on the card.
