Postcard back, orange packing, Colton
The card does not bear postage or a postmark but has a note written on the left. Numbers are written in the right margin and above the stampbox, which reveals the photographic-paper manufacturer. The design of the stampbox contributes to the date range of 1907-1918, beginning with the advent of divided backs and ending with the cessation of manufacture of this paper.

The packers here get .03 per box- or crate as we see them come into market at home. The average worker packs from 75 to 80 crates. Some few make $3.00 per day and one made $4.00.
The grower gets about 50¢ a scant crate--similar to our crates we deliver tomatoes to factory in.

[stampbox] Azo [on four sides, with equilateral triangles pointing up in each corner]

[handwritten in right margin] No 22
