The sanitarium shown here in a side view of the porch and front steps became part of Loma Linda University. After its founding in 1905 by Seventh-day Adventists, it became a college and eventually the university associated with Loma Linda University Medical Center. This building was previously a hotel and the site remained part of the campus. The back of the card has a long statement about the "charming scenery" of this "delightful retreat."
