This "hand-colored" card shows a crowd on the beach at the Santa Barbara Harbor. In the left foreground is the southern edge of Plaza del Mar south of Baños del Mar at what was then the end of Cabrillo Boulevard. On the left beyond the immediate palm tree is a children's playground, and in the middle the shore side of Stearns Wharf that stretches out into the harbor to the right edge of the image. In the background are the Santa Ynez Mountains to the north and east.
