An Australian native, it was planted in 1876 and transplanted in 1877, having a span of 160 feet. According to the card back, it had a "branch spread" of 124 feet in 1936. Judging from the period automobiles, this might be close to the year the image was captured. Also according to the divided back, the card was "hand-colored."
