A sentence on the back gives this further information: "This quaint Danish town in the midst of the flower fields in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley is fast developing into a major tourist attraction in the state." Solvang was founded by a group of Danish teachers in 1911. Shops near the intersection at left are the Solvang Shoe Store and Peter's Pastries. The latter shop was purchased by The Solvang Bakery in 1989. The publisher's number in the stampbox on the back is P54150.
