This California Mission style hotel designed by Arthur Benton stretches across the card from the entrance in the middle, taking up the block bounded by Victoria, State, Sola and Chapala Streets. The first, wooden, hotel burned in 1909, and the tower seen in this structure was destroyed in the 1925 earthquake when the water tank at the top collapsed. The Arlington Theater was built on the site after the hotel was razed in 1931. At the top of the untraveled, divided back of this card is the Neuner Company's herald-angel logo.
