The hotel on Burton's Mound stands out against a background of flowers planted along its driveway. Its four-story wings with six and a half stories of rooms in the central entrance portion with towers were advertised as hosting up to 1,000 guests (PC-002-398). The Potter opened in 1903 as a year-round hotel, rather than seasonal. It was sold in 1919, becoming the Belvedere, then sold once again to become the Ambassador. In 1921 the hotel burned to the ground and was not rebuilt. The Ambassador Park on West Cabrillo Boulevard is the site of the entrance. On the divided back are the publisher's number M. 62, the number 67934 in the stampbox, and the notice that the card was made in Germany.
