[Curt Teich and Company, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois]
This home, called "El Mirasol," filled a city block in Montecito. It was designed in 1905 by New York architects Delano and Aldrich for Mary Herter (whose name is misspelled on this card). Shortly after this card was produced, in 1913, her heirs turned the home into the El Mirasol Hotel. In 1966 fire damage threw the property ownership into a state of continual flux that ended with the buildings being razed and donated to the City of Santa Barbara in 1975. The site was eventually used for the Alice Keck Park Memorial Gardens. The Teich number at the bottom of the dividing line on the back is A-13909.
