Glenwood Mission Inn, Riverside, California
Underneath the title is printed a description: "The slow going ox-cart with its massive block wheels is a reminder of Spanish days of long ago. It was in such a cart that Ramona was wont to go regularly to masses." "Ramona" is a reference to Helen Hunt Jackson's best-selling novel Ramona that captured the popular imagination and was the subject of many postcards and tourist spots. In this view the Inn courtyard contains an ox cart, pergola and palms. Three- and four-story buildings comprise a part of the hotel and close the courtyard. Between the divided back of the card and the closing of the publishers, the possible dates of this card are 1907-1915. On the back is a drawing of part of a campanario or bell tower and the Inn's raincross logo.
