Glenwood Mission Inn, Riverside, California
In this picture the Carillon Tower and the "Old Adobe" original Glenwood Hotel are framed in the automobile portal of the Inn. Smaller arches extend to the right from the large portal. Below the title is this paragraph: "It has been left to you, Frank Miller, a genuine Californian, to dream of the hotel that ought to be, to turn your ideal into plaster and stone, and to give us in mountain-belted Riverside the one hotel which a Californian can recognize as his own. David Starr Jordan, President of Stanford University." Frank Augustus Miller was the owner of the Mission Inn and a community leader in Riverside. On the divided back of the card is a drawing of a piece of a bell tower and the raincross symbol of the Inn.
