The description from the divided back of the postcard reads: "The old bell still hangs from its rough gallows upon the summit, a reminder of early Spanish Days." A man and woman sit on the stones on which the bell frame is supported as the woman pulls the bell rope. There was more than one bell at the top of Mount Rubidoux, and they were described as "mission" or "Franciscan" bells. The publisher's number preceding the title near the left bottom corner is 1054.
