A glimpse of Lake Elsinore from Lake View Inn, Elsinore, California

 

 

 

 

Depicted on this card is Lake Elsinore as seen from the Lakeview Inn, visible on the right surrounded by flowering foliage. The original structure at this location was opened in 1887 and called the Lake Dale Hotel. That building burned down in 1894, was rebuilt and subsequently renamed the Lakeview Inn. This building no longer exists, razed in 1970. The card is styled to look like a Real Photo Post Card, labeled with a superimposed typed strip. On the divided back is an ornamental drawing of souvenir post-card booklets.
