From the back: "The Court of the Birds with its graceful palms, the Adobe with its red tiled roof, the Spanish tower with its chiming bells, the old Mission ox cart, and the wealth of flowering bloom remind one of the days of the Dons." The "old Adobe" building in front of the Carillon ("Spanish") Tower was the original hotel. The oxcart is just to the left of and lower than center, recognizable from the wheels. In the foreground is landscaped vegetation, with lawn stretching to the oxcart and shrubbery. On the divided back are the number 26679, the publisher's logo in the stampbox, and the Inn's logo the raincross.
