This is a view of the landscaped courtyard before the main entrance. The campanario is partly obscured by palm trees on the right. In the center, according to the back of the card, "the old Adobe house of sunbaked bricks and roofed with old mission tile is the 'father' of the present Inn" (the original hotel, 1876). In the background the Carillon Tower is visible.

Perforations on the left edge indicate that the card was torn from a booklet. The publisher's logo is on the divided back of this German-made postcard.
